The Sing Thing was established under the funded London Sing Up Community, which gave its finale Sing On performances in March 2011. British Gospel Arts is grateful to Sing Up, Youth Music, Sound Connections, Apex Arts, schools, parents and young people who supported this project over two years.

 

We are pleased that the singing will go on and the good work that Sing Up started will reach new levels.

 

You can still join The Sing Thing. It is open to young people of all abilities from 7-19yrs. There are no auditions however a love of singing and music is a must! Parents are encouraged to join and sing alongside their children.

 

We have two after-school clubs that are open to all.

The Legacy 1:

From the singing clubs has risen 2020children, the first children’s gospel choir of its kind in London. As we strive for excellence both in singing and in purpose, we know that the children will be busy with performances in the coming years. The Legacy 2:

We will be starting a children’s performing arts club from September 2011. This will include singing and drama activities. It will take place on Saturdays from 3pm to 5pm at our Brookdale House Studios in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest.
